Transferred finally

Elder Avery will be transferred this week.  Finally, he has been in the Pensacola area, the Pace ward for 10 1/2 months!  He loves the people of the Pace ward and has helped many people there as he was able to teach many people about the gospel and have some very special baptisms.  He has grown tremendously as he has served as the Zone leader there.  But he is ready for a change and is excited to go to Tifton GA to serve for a while. 

Letter to Dad

I am grateful for the reproof you gave to me throughout my life.  Sorry that all of my letters and emails have to be "teaching moments" but this is just what the mission has trained me to be.  I am eager to solve problems, not create them.  The words "why me" or "why my family" or any other questions of the sort seem to destroy faith and yield very little results.  Instead the words, "I can" and "I will" seem to bring a special power into our lives that flows through everything we do.  God does not intend for us to know it all or do it all in this life.  This is just merely a boost.  Moving forward with faith will bring peace and solace when we understand that if we are just obedient and diligent, we will be changed and our countenance will bear the image of Christ.

Transfers 1/2/12

Brock was transferred this week to Pensecola Florida. He was ready for a change, so hopefully he will enjoy this new area. He will be busy because he is now the zone leader. Hopefully he will send pictures of the new area and the new people he is meeting soon.
